Job Summary/Objective
Operates own book of customer accounts for management or professional level positions. Markets services to prospective customer companies and develops business relationships with those customer companies for the purpose of filling their search needs. Recruits, screens, interviews, qualifies, and refers job candidates for permanent placement openings based on an understanding of predetermined criteria provided by the customer company.

- Strives to achieve placement and GP goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Solicits job orders from customers. Confers and consults with management, staff, and operations personnel to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
- Recruits, screens, interviews, qualifies, and refers job candidates for permanent placement openings based on an understanding of predetermined criteria provided by the customer company.
- Negotiates rates, payment schedules, and terms and conditions of the agreement with the customer.
- Ensures written agreements containing all the agreed upon terms and conditions are prepared, delivered to the customer, and properly executed.
- Develops recruitment programs to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings, researches customer company profiles to ensure accurate and realistic job previews and develops recruitment presentations. May include writing and placing advertising in various media.
- Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates, including a database of past placements.
- Initiates contact with potentially qualified candidates for specific job openings, conducting telephone and personal interviews, baseline reference checking, and baseline education and skills verification.
- Prepares applicants for interviews by providing customer background information, job descriptions, culture and environmental information, and business strategy.
- Debriefs with customer company after applicant interview to determine job fit or match, to obtain more “qualifying information” for future applicants, or to schedule additional interviews.
- Debriefs with applicants after interviews; discusses good points of the interview and areas of improvement and provides tips for closing the interview (thank you notes, etc.).
Remains closely involved with the customer company as the “Consultant,” negotiating the offer, counter-offers, start dates, and other terms and conditions of employment.
- Coordinates and maintains on-going communications between customers and applicants, including acceptance letter, resignation letters to present employer, relocation information, and post-employment follow-up.
- Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
- Makes public presentations, either in person or online, regarding the organization and career opportunities. Maintains a high degree of community involvement through activities with professional associations.
- Files and maintains applicant information for future references.
- Attends and participates in civic and professional networking for the purpose of networking.
- Researches and develops recruiting strategy to meet client service agreements and timelines.
- Receives and responds to client and talent concerns. Escalates when needed and collaborates with corporate departments to mitigate risk, resolve issues, and maintain compliance.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is responsible for talent placed on assignment.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- At least one year of staffing/placement experience with proven record in Direct Hire placement.
Preferred Education and Experience
- PeopleSoft experience preferred
- Prior experience in the Technical Staffing industry with a focus in IT or Engineering a plus

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment or remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, copiers, printers/scanners, phones, and filing cabinets. If working in a remote office environment, a clean, designated workspace must be kept in a safe condition, free from hazards to both the employee and the equipment. Remote office positions also require reliable, high-speed internet.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, regular business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires occasional travel, less than 25%. Most travel is outside the local area and overnight.
