Where are we going?
The 2024 Pinnacle Awards celebration will be held at the beautiful adults-only Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana located on the shores of Juanillo Beach in the Dominican Republic. This is a beautiful all-inclusive property with fabulous dining and a relaxing spa.

Will Staffmark Group cover the cost of my passport?
Staffmark Group does not cover the cost of your passport or costs to expedite processing of your passport.
What about my travel costs outside of the flight and resort fees?
Staffmark Group does not cover the following costs during the Pinnacle Awards trip: checked bag fees, airport parking, transportation to and from the airport, and food during your travel day.
Is a credit card required at check-in?
Yes, a personal credit card is required at check-in for any items not covered in your all-inclusive rate. Because a pre-authorized hold on funds may be applied, we recommend that you do not use a debit card for this. Please check with the Front Desk staff for specific details.
What credit cards does the resort accept?
This resort accepts Visa, Master Card, and American Express, only.
Do I need to bring money and exchange my currency to Dominican Pesos when I arrive?
Your all-inclusive package includes meals, drinks, entertainment, and many fun activities. However, we recommend bringing extra cash for off-site expenses, spa services, tours, tips, and transfers. The resort will provide currency exchange services subject to availability. Cash payments are accepted in US Dollars and Dominican Pesos.
Is there an ATM at the hotel?
No. However, we can facilitate cash advances placed on credit cards, fees apply.
What should I wear?
It’s going to be warm, so pack for comfort. The resort restaurants have different dress code requirements, from swimsuits with cover-ups allowed to smart casual elegance – no flip flops or tank tops.
Our welcome event Thursday evening will be a casual get together on the beach, and it’s your first real opportunity to meet and mingle with all our guests while enjoying some great food and drinks. Shorts or sundresses (no swimsuits, please) are appropriate.
Our awards ceremony will be held Friday night and the attire for this event will be casual elegance – dress shorts or long pants, close-toed shoes, collared short-sleeve shirts for men and dresses/sundresses or dress shorts/long pants for women.
What’s included in an “all inclusive” resort?
The Zilara is an adults-only all-inclusive resort, and you’ll have access to luxury amenities like sprawling outdoor pools with swim-up bars, nine restaurants, two buffets, and three snack bars/coffee shops, as well as seven bars and lounges and room service.
Drinks and meals are included (exceptions listed below). On-site entertainment, fitness facilities, swimming and water sports, daily outdoor and indoor activities, in-suite minibar, and free WIFI are included. There may be additional charges for premium liquor requests.
There are other optional add-ons you can add to your trip like off-site excursions, spa treatments, and cabanas for an additional cost.

Are Spa Treatments Included?
While spa treatments are not included in your all-inclusive package, you can still pamper yourself while at the Pinnacle Awards celebration at the on site Larimar Spa. Is the resort waterpark accessible to all guests?
Yes. Located in the adjacent Ziva Cap Cana, Canapolis Water Park offers a lazy river with grotto cascade, water cannons, and five slides.

Can I reserve a cabana?
There is ample seating around the pool, but you also have the option to book a private cabana at the pool during your trip. These are available for an extra fee and can be booked per day.

Does the resort have a fitness center?
Health and fitness is part of your all-inclusive trip. You can sweat it out indoors at the 14,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art gym (including two cardio areas, Zumba, spinning, TRX training and Pilates), sign up for a bootcamp or aquatic fitness classes, or perform sun salutations on the beach.
Is it safe to go off property?
Safety and security are always a concern when you travel, and we want to make sure that you are comfortable with your decision to attend the Pinnacle Awards event in Punta Cana. While the Dominican Republic generally has some safety concerns, Punta Cana is considered one of the safest places to visit in the Caribbean. The Dominican government is very serious about protecting their precious tourism industry in Punta Cana. Thanks to the CESTUR police force, specifically employed to keep tourists safe, violent crime in Punta Cana is very rare, but visitors should take some normal precautions, including:
- Staying informed: Keep up with the latest updates
- Being aware: Stay alert and be aware of your surroundings
- Being careful: Avoid walking alone at night, driving alone at night to unfamiliar places, and flashing large amounts of cash or expensive watches or jewelry
- Being smart: Don’t leave important items like cash or documents out; keep them in the safe in your room
- Being cautious: Watch out for pickpockets and scams, and choose your transportation carefully
Our event is completely hosted within the gated all-inclusive resort venue, and this format is designed to give our attendees a great experience without needing to leave the property. We strongly recommend that you remain on property during your visit, and should you decide to go off property, stay alert, use common sense, and follow standard precautions to ensure your safety.
What is the tipping policy at the resort?
Tips and gratuities are included in your all-inclusive package. Additional gratuities are welcomed by staff should services exceed your expectations. You don’t have to tip at an all-inclusive resort, but it’s a good idea to help recognize outstanding service and support the local economy. Bring plenty of small bills (ones and fives) if you plan to tip as the resort may run out.
Does the resort have a smoking policy?
Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is prohibited throughout most of the resort including but not limited to common areas, dining venues, bars, suites, suite decks, and balconies. They do offer designated smoking areas. Please ask the concierge or front desk to direct you. A cleaning fee may be incurred for smoking in smoke-free areas.
Can I drink the local water?
You are advised not to drink faucet/tap water, and the resort will provide filtered and bottled water. Water and ice cubes served at all resort venues are always filtered and safe to drink.
How can I use my cell phone in the Dominican Republic?
Check with your cell phone service provider about international calling and data plans before you leave. Many providers offer temporary international packages available at a much lower price than you would normally pay for roaming charges.
Do I need to book my own transportation between the airport and the resort?
No, Staffmark Group has arranged airport transfers through Connect DMC for all our guests. When you arrive at the airport in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic after you’ve passed through immigration, collected your luggage, and cleared customs, head outside the arrivals exit labeled “Shuttles and Taxis” to find the Connect DMC staff holding a Staffmark Group sign for transfer to the resort. Keep in mind that you may be approached by tourist advisors offering information about Punta Cana or reps from taxi companies, timeshares, or car rental agencies. Just politely decline and continue through the airport until you reach the end, and the staff with our transportation partner will meet you in the taxi area with the Staffmark Group sign. They’ll be dressed in uniform and well identified.

How far is the resort from the airport?
The resort is located about a 15-20-minute drive from the Punta Cana International Airport. Actual travel time may vary based on traffic.
Does the hotel provide shuttles or transportation around the local area?
No, but the hotel can assist you in calling a local taxi service.
Is there any on-site shopping?
If you forget anything, the gift shop on-site is available to provide toiletries, sunscreen, and more, but be aware that these items may be considerably more expensive than if you bring your own. We will have sunscreen in your welcome bag, but we recommend that you bring additional to avoid the inflated out of pocket costs on site.
Electronic E-ticket Application
All visitors or tourists wishing to enter the Dominican Republic through the Punta Cana International Airport must present a valid passport, and completion of an e-ticket application. This is an e-ticket issued to any foreign person wishing to visit the Dominican Republic, although this document is mainly for tourist use.
You can access the e-ticket application and complete up to one week before arrival to the Dominican Republic.
You can visit https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/ to complete the e-ticket application (this service is free, other services may have a fee). Be sure to enter all the information exactly as it appears in your travel documentation that you use to enter the Dominican Republic. Once complete, the e-ticket will be emailed to you with a QR code. You should save the QR code and have it ready to present to the immigration agent along with your passport.
